Jammu, Jan 12: The NSS Units of GGM Science College, Jammu, celebrated National Youth Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
The event was marked by enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers, Program Officers (POS), faculty members, and students.
Principal Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta graced the occasion and delivered an inspiring address, encouraging the youth to embody Swami Vivekananda’s values of service, determination, and dedication. Dr. Gupta highlighted the significance of youth in shaping the future of the nation and urged students to actively engage in community service and nation-building activities.
The program also featured a live streaming of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the youth, where he emphasized the pivotal role of young minds in driving India towards development and innovation.
The volunteers and students attentively participated in the session, drawing motivation from the Prime Minister’s words.
The NSS POS shared insights on youth empowerment, social service, and the importance of self-discipline. They motivated the students to carry forward the mission of Swami Vivekananda by contributing meaningfully to society.
The celebration concluded with a pledge by all attendees to uphold the values of integrity, service, and dedication towards building a better India. |
