Udhampur, Feb 4: Police on Tuesday arrested a Special Police Officer during a routine naka checking here and recovered Heroin from his possession.
A police spokesman in a statement said, “Team of Police Station Udhampur led by its Station House Officer while performing patrolling/checking duty near SKPA Udhampur area intercepted one suspicious person, who on seeing police party tried to escape from the spot but was apprehended by the police party.”
“On the frisking of the said apprehended person namely Michael Jackson (SPO posted at DPL Udhampur) S/O Raju R/O Christian Colony, Udhampur the police team recovered 5.95 grams of Heroin like contraband substance from him. He was arrested on the spot,” the spokesman said, adding that
in this regard, a case FIR No. 41/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Udhampur. Further investigation of the case is underway. |
