JAMMU, Feb 5: Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, General Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association, and Mr. Surinder Mohan, Technical Director of Yuva Kabaddi Series J&K and Ladakh, have left for the 22nd Senior U.T. Kabaddi Championship, which will take place from February 7 to 9, 2025, at Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School, Mendhar, Poonch. The event is organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association under the aegis of the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council.
The officials will assess the accommodation, ground fields with mats, and food arrangements provided by the hosting Poonch District Kabaddi Association. The championship will allow participation from all affiliated district kabaddi teams and Belt Forces teams in both Men and Women sections. Each team will consist of 10 players, one coach, and one manager.
All District Presidents/Secretaries and Department In-charges are advised to select teams based on merit, with the last date for entry set for February 6, 2025, by midnight. The selection for the Senior National Men and Women Kabaddi teams will take place during the event, with a coaching camp for the Men's team scheduled from February 10, 2025, at Mendhar, Poonch.
Players are required to bring their Aadhar card, photograph, domicile certificate, and a medical fitness certificate from medical officers. Belt Forces players should also present a letter from their commanding officer along with the required documents. All players must be duly registered with the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India. |
