Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 27: On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah shared an encouraging update regarding the evolving socio-political landscape in Jammu and Kashmir, revealing that two more organizations previously associated with the Hurriyat Conference have formally distanced themselves from separatist ideologies. This development marks a significant shift in the region, reflecting a growing inclination toward national integration and peace.
In a detailed post on X, Shah hailed the move as a momentous and positive milestone, emphasizing that these groups have chosen to place their faith in the transformative vision of a "new Bharat" championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “More heartening news emerges from the Kashmir Valley. Two additional groups tied to the Hurriyat—namely J&K Tahreeqi Isteqlal and J&K Tahreek-I-Istiqamat—have decisively rejected the path of separatism and instead embraced the ideals of unity and progress embodied in the new India crafted under PM Modi’s leadership,” he wrote.

with unrest and division, is now in its final throes. “Under the Modi administration, the forces of separatism are witnessing their last gasps, while the resounding triumph of unity and brotherhood is reverberating across the length and breadth of Kashmir,” Shah added, painting an optimistic picture of a region on the cusp of lasting peace.
This latest development builds on a remarkable wave of change over the past week. In the last five days alone, a total of five constituent groups of the Hurriyat Conference—an organization historically linked to separatist sentiments—have publicly disavowed their past ideologies and pledged their allegiance to the Indian Union. This series of renunciations signals a potential turning point in Jammu and Kashmir’s journey toward reconciliation and stability, aligning with the central government’s sustained efforts to foster development, security, and inclusivity in the region.
