GCOE Jammu organizes Awareness Rally

JAMMU, Apr 3: The NCORD Committee of Govt. College of Education (GCOE), Jammu, in collaboration with Social Reform Charitable Trust, organized an awareness rally-cum-campaign on the theme "Stay Away from Drugs." The event was held under the patronage of Principal Dr. (Prof.) Jyoti Parihar and aimed at spreading awareness about the dangers of drug abuse. The event commenced with a welcome speech by Prof. Sunanda Rani, Convener NCORD Committee, followed by an impactful session by Sh. S.K. Jain, State Yoga Commissioner, who captivated the audience with a heartfelt poem on the ill effects of drug addiction. His team members further emphasized the importance of saying no to drugs.
A pledge-taking ceremony on "Say No to Drugs" was conducted, reinforcing the message of the campaign. The awareness rally was flagged off by Prof. Sunanda Rani, accompanied by Dr. Shalini Sharma, Prof. Roopa Kumari, and Dr. Ambica Kumari, with enthusiastic participation from students.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Ambica Kumari and the distribution of refreshments, sponsored by Dabur India Limited. Faculty members, including Prof. Satish Kumar Sharma, Dr. Rajinder Kour, Dr. Sushma Bala, and Prof. Sarita Dogra, actively participated, making the event a great success.
