JAMMU, Apr 3: In a major breakthrough, District Police Jammu successfully arrested an absconder, wanted in multiple cases, who had been evading arrest for 12 years.
A Police team from Bishnah Police Station apprehended the accused, identified as Saif Ali, son of Main, resident of Laswara, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu. He was wanted in FIR No. 150/2013 under sections 341, 323, 147, and 148 RPC, as well as FIR No. 147/2014 under the same sections.
A warrant under Section 512 CrPC had been issued against him by the JMIC Bishnah, and he had been on the run since the commission of the crimes. After completing all legal formalities, the accused was produced before the Hon'ble Court for judicial proceedings.
