Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 18: A unique and insightful seminar on "Preventing Morning Stroke and Heart Attack in Washrooms" was organized at Sector-5, Trikutanagar by the Indian Yoga Association, in collaboration with Vichar Kranti Manch International. The event aimed to raise awareness about early morning health risks and promote preventive wellness practices.
The seminar was graced by Dr. Shreyansh Kumar Jain, State Yoga Commissioner and Chairman of the Indian Yoga Association, who attended as the Chief Guest. Mr. Narinder Wadhera, Finance Secretary of Senior Citizens Joy Society, presided over the seminar. Mr. Rakesh Verma, Managing Director of Cybertech India, extended a warm welcome to all guests and participants.
In his keynote address, Dr. Jain stressed the importance of mindful routines upon waking to reduce the risk of early morning strokes. He advised a series of simple yet effective steps:
"Remain lying down for 30 seconds after waking, then shift gently to the right side, sit up slowly, and stay seated for another 30 seconds. Identify your active nostril and place the corresponding foot on the ground first. Stretch and perform mild twists before proceeding to the washroom. Splashing cold water on the face helps stabilize circulation."
He also recommended regular yoga, pranayama, and drinking lukewarm water to support heart health and overall wellness.
Mr. Narinder Wadhera addressed the audience on the importance of natural and organic farming, drawing a connection between clean nutrition and physical well-being.
The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from various dignitaries, including:
Saurabh Bhandari, Joint Director, NIC
Ravinder Verma, AEE, Irrigation & Flood Control
Rajinder Kotwal, Former GM, SIDCO
S.K. Gupta, Former Private Secretary
Ashish Bhandari, Forest Research Institute, Miran Sahib
Kulbir Khajuria, Commercial Accountant
Yesh Paul Sharma, Life Coach & Yoga Expert
Mohini Bhandari, Former SO, Jammu University
A moment of celebration brightened the seminar as the birthday of Mr. Akshun Verma, an MBA student from ITS Hyderabad, was joyfully observed with cheers and warm wishes.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Rakesh Verma, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all attendees and contributors for making the seminar a meaningful and successful gathering.
