Ganderbal, Apr 18: Asserting that efforts are on to strengthen the counter terrorism grid and tackle the cyber criminals in Jammu and Kashmir, Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Friday thanked the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Centre for their support.
Addressing a passing out parade here in Central Kashmir, DGP Prabhat said, “The counter terrorism grid has been strengthened and new technologies are being developed to identify and nail the cyber criminals.”
The DGP said, “We are thankful to Centre and Ministry of Home Affairs for providing us with all the support and help.
“I feel proud addressing the new recruits. The J&K policemen are being trained to the core along with physical fitness, they are being equipped with new skills and techniques to fight terror and other crimes.”
The DGP said, “J&K Police are committed to stand by with the families of martyrs. They are being provided with all the possible assistance.”
Congratulating the passouts, the DGP said, “You have become the part of one of the best police forces in the country. I see discipline and resolve in you and wish you all the best for your future.”
It may be recalled that during Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent visit to Jammu and Kashmir, DGP Prabhat had thanked him for his support and “zero-terror” strategy.
He had said the successful implementation of Shah’s decisions like the “zero terror” plan coupled with his support have made the J-K Police strategically a very strong force.
He had thanked the Union Home Minister for meeting the families of the martyrs and personally handing over appointment orders to them. “Our force will not rest till terrorism is completely wiped out of J-K,” he said.
The DGP had also praised Shah for his support in conducting general warfare special training, camp security and area domination.
