Anti-Constitution face of BJP once again at its full display: Advocate Bhardwaj
4/20/2025 10:07:47 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 20: Former President J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu and senior advocate Mohinder Bhardwaj on Sunday said that the anti-Constitution face of the BJP is once again at its full display and it justifies Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s fight to safeguard the Constitution which empowers and protects the rights of common citizens.
In a statement here Bhardwaj said, “ The manner in which two BJP’s MPs and its supporting authorities holding high constitutional office have targeted the Supreme Court of India, exposes the party’s diabolical plan to destroy basic structure of the Constitution. Whenever the Union Government finds itself on a weak wicket in the Supreme Court, its system attacks the highest constitutional court of the country. This is an alarming situation.”
Bhardwaj expressed shock on the two BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey and Dinesh Sharma attacking the Supreme Court and questioning the wisdom of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India. “Nothing can be more blasphemous and anti-constitutional than this. It is appalling that the two MPs have charged the CJI with fomenting ethnic clashes across the country. It is reprehensible and condemnable beyond words,” he said.
“The CJI and the Hon’ble judges have only been acting in true bonafide manner to discharge their constitutional duties to protect the laws and
Rahul Gandhi’s fears of the Constitution being under grave danger are proving true every day.
The condemnable act of the MPs in raising baseless allegations against the CJI, is a grave contempt of the highest court in the country.
All right-thinking people and they should join Rahul Gandhi in his fight to protect the Constitution.
Need to strengthen Rahul's hands to save the nation from slipping into lawlessness.
constitution and also the rights of the citizens.
Obviously, these MPs were not acting on their own or in isolation but as part of the present dispensation’s conspiracy to undermine the Constitution and muzzle the democratic and Constitutional institutions such as the highest constitutional court of the country that is the Supreme Court,” he said, adding, “More bizarre is the action of the BJP president J P Nadda in merely dissociating the party from the MPs’ objectionable utterances which are nothing short of an anti-constitutional act. It will be construed that the MPs had acted on the directions of the party’s top leadership if a serious action is not taken against them. They should immediately resign from their parliament seats and face further action,” Bhardwaj said.
He said, “Rahul Gandhi’s fears of the Constitution being under grave danger are proving true every day. The condemnable act of the MPs in raising baseless allegations against the CJI, which is a grave contempt of the highest court of the country, and similar insinuations levelled against the apex court by a higher constitutional authority, must be viewed seriously by all right-thinking people and they should join Mr Gandhi in his fight to protect the Constitution. “Strengthen Mr Gandhi’s hands to save the Constitution and thereby the nation from slipping into lawlessness.”
