CB files chargesheet against 18 accused for frauds

Jammu, Apr 28: Crime Branch (CB) has filed five chargesheets in courts of law against eighteen (18) accused for different frauds involving aggregate amount of Rs 8.79 crores approx.
After allegations were proved, CB has produced challan against Mohd Farid S/o Bashir Ahmed R/o Village Maroli Govindsar, Kathua, against whom FIR was registered on the written complaint of Shokat Ali S/o Bashir Ahmed R/o Bani, District Kathua wherein he alleged that accused Mohd Farid got government job and promotions on fake educational documents and retired as Deputy Inspector in Fisheries Department Kathua.
In another case registered on a written complaint lodged by Yash Pal of Rajouri regarding fraud on the pretext of winning lottery, Crime Branch has been produced challan against four persons namely (1) Santosh Kumar Patel S/o Sunder Lal Patel R/o Maihar, Distt. Satna M.P., (2) Suman Swarashti D/o Sh. Babu Lal R/o Govindpur, M.P., (3) Suneel Kumar Patel S/o Panna Lal Patel R/O Dharampura, Girwara, M.P. and (4) Malkeet Singh S/o Jagir Singh R/o Ninjaj, West.Bengal.
Challan has also been produced in the case registered on a written complaint of Anwar Ali R/o Bilaspur wherein he alleged that he had been duped of Rs. 2.06 lakhs by fraudsters on the pretext of winning lottery. The accused are (1) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati S/o Rambahal Parjapati R/o Banahara District Jaunpur (U.P) (2) Imran Khan Sarfrazkhan Pathan S/o Sarfrazkhan R/o Rakhiyal, Distt. Ahmedabad (U.P) (3) Pawan Kumar Singh R/o Jhansi, Allahabad (UP) (4) Aijaz Ahmed S/o Nawab R/o Handiya Sarapataha, Distt. Sultanpur (UP) (5) Mohd. Shadab Khan S/o Naser Khan R/o Janagipur, UP (6) Imran Khan S/o Ayoub Khan R/o Sundram Nagar Ahmedabad Gujarat (7) Firoj Khan S/o Raees Ujjaya R/o Rasoolabad Musafirkhana, Distt. CSM Nagar.
Crime Branch has also produced challan against accused namely Mohd. Syed Shah S/o Bhaw-ud-Din Shah, R/o Budshami Nagar, Natipora, Srinagar A/P Dangiwacha Rafiabad, District Baramulla after allegations of duping of huge amount on the pretext of providing government job leveled by complainant Vikas Sharma S/o Kulwant Raj R/o Sungal Tehsil Akhnoor and others were proved against him.
Chargesheet has also been submitted by Crime Branch in case registered on the complaint of Sh. Shivraj Singh Chowdhary (now expired) R/o Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. against accused 1. Renu Chowdhary W/o Sh. Chander Udhey Singh 2. Kunal Choudhary S/o Sh. Chander Udhey Sigh Choudhary 3. Chander Udhey Singh Choudhary S/o late Sh. AmarnathChowdhary all are resident of Trikuta Nagar, Jammu A/P Channi Himmat, Jammu.
Senior Superintendent of Police Crime Jammu Benam Tosh confirmed that challans of cases FIR No. 27/2013, FIR No. 01/2015, FIR No. 18/2018, FIR No. 47/2019 and FIR No. 03/2025 have been produced in the courts of law for judicial determination.
