World Supports India
4/28/2025 10:42:51 PM
Terrorism is a threat that transcends borders, ideologies, and nations. For decades, India has stood as one of the foremost victims of terrorism, bearing countless tragedies while continuously urging the global community to recognize terrorism as the gravest challenge to peace and stability. Today, the world is no longer indifferent.
An increasing number of nations have come together, voicing unequivocal support for India’s stand and fight against terrorism. This growing solidarity is not only a diplomatic victory for India but a testament to a shared understanding that terrorism, in any form, must be confronted with unwavering resolve.
India’s approach to counter-terrorism has been principled and consistent. It has always called for zero tolerance against terrorism, insisted on the dismantling of terrorist safe havens, and advocated for a clear distinction between good and bad terrorists to be rejected. Over the years, India’s leadership has been instrumental in raising these concerns at global forums like the United Nations, G20, BRICS, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Through diplomatic perseverance, India has succeeded in pushing terrorism to the top of the international agenda.
The support India now enjoys is not merely rhetorical. Key global powers, including the United States, France, Australia, Japan, and numerous others, have increasingly recognized and condemned terror attacks against India. Whether it was the attack in Pulwama in 2019, the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, or recent Pahalgam terror attack, the world has stood with India, offering not only words of solidarity but concrete actions like sanctions against terror groups and their sponsors.
Moreover, India’s insistence on comprehensive international action against terrorism is reshaping policies. There is now a growing demand for universal frameworks like the Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism (CCIT), an Indian proposal pending at the UN for years, to be finalized. The world has realized that selective outrage against terrorism weakens global peace and that a coordinated global response is imperative.
The support for India is also reflective of a broader change in global attitudes. Countries are increasingly recognizing the dangers posed by state-sponsored terrorism. There is a more vocal call today to hold nations accountable when they harbor, finance, or provide safe passage to terrorists. India’s balanced yet firm diplomacy has successfully brought these issues to the forefront without alienating crucial partners.
India’s resilience in the face of terror attacks — its ability to grieve, heal, and rise stronger — has also earned global respect. It has demonstrated that terrorism cannot destroy a civilization rooted in democracy, pluralism, and tolerance.
As the world unites in support of India’s stand against terrorism, it sends a strong message: terror has no justification, no legitimacy, and no future.
