Arvind reviews War Room Setup at GMC Hospital amidst Border Tensions

JAMMU, May 7: In light of the heightened border tensions following Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 26 innocent tourists, Sh. Arvind Gupta, Senior BJP Leader and MLA Jammu West, today visited Government Medical College (GMC) and Hospital Jammu to review the preparedness of the hospital's emergency infrastructure.
Accompanied by Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal GMC Jammu, Dr. Varinder, Medical Superintendent, and Dr. Meena Sidhu, HoD Blood Bank GMC Jammu, the MLA took a detailed round of the hospital including the War Room and Blood Bank.
Speaking to the media persons, Arvind Gupta informed that a fully equipped War Room has set up within the GMC & hospital Jammu to address any medical emergency that may arise due to escalating border situations. Around 150 beds have been prepared and over 600 units of blood have been reserved in the GMC Blood Bank to ensure immediate medical aid if required, he said.
In a strong gesture of solidarity and public service, the MLA, along with Arun Prabhat, President BJYM J&K, also launched a blood donation drive in the hospital premises. Arvind Gupta led by example by being the first to donate blood, appealing to citizens to come forward and contribute in whatever way possible to support the nation during this critical time.
"As a public representative, I assure every possible assistance to the people of my constituency and the wider Jammu region. It is the time to stand united and extend every possible support to our brave soldiers and fellow citizens," he added.
Later in the day, the MLA also inaugurated additional blood donation camps at Jaswant Plaza and Suvidha Nursing Home, near Bee Enn Hospital Jammu.
Among those who were present included Mandal President Kushant Prajapati, Dharamveer Singh Jamwal ex Deputy Mayor, S. Prithpal Singh (Ex Sarpanch), Ayodhya Gupta, Veenu Khanna, Atul Bakshi, Karan Sharma, Ravi Kant, Deepak, Vicky, Abhishek, and several others.
