Pahalgam terror victim’s family thanks PM Modi, Army | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 7: The family of Shubham Dwivedi, one of the 26 civilians killed in the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian armed forces for delivering justice through Operation Sindoor, a precise counter-terror strike launched early Wednesday against nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. Shubham Dwivedi, a 30-year-old from Uttar Pradesh, was vacationing in Pahalgam with his wife, Ashanya Dwivedi, and sister-in-law when terrorists opened fire on unarmed tourists. He was fatally shot in the head. The attack, which claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists, prompted India’s swift military response. Ashanya Dwivedi, speaking through her grief, praised the operation and its leadership. “I sincerely thank everyone involved in Operation Sindoor, especially our armed forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who personally oversaw it,” she said. “The name ‘Operation Sindoor’ shows they stand with us, those who lost their husbands. PM Modi promised to eliminate terrorism, and he has proven it.” She added defiantly, “Terrorists killed our husbands to weaken us, but we will fight. PM Modi has taken revenge, and these terrorists will be eradicated.” Shubham’s brother echoed her sentiments, calling the operation a healing gesture. “The entire nation is grateful to Modi ji and our armed forces. When our country is challenged like this, we must respond with strength. Operation Sindoor is like medicine on our wounds,” he said. “Its name pays true tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam attack.” Shubham’s father lauded the government’s resolve. “The Indian government and armed forces have acted decisively against Pakistan. I praise PM Modi for understanding the people’s emotions and destroying terrorism. I salute him,” he said. |
