BLSKS celebrates “Happy Mother’s Day”

JAMMU, May 12: To celebrates "HAPPY MOTHER's DAY" & to promote the Traditional culture of J&K , Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan performed its 494th Regular Series Musical Play "MAMTA " today in collaboration with, Ministry of Culture , Government of India & Sangam Tru Art Production at Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu on theme for Mother's Day 2025 is "Celebrating Motherhood: A Timeless Bond" This theme focuses on the enduring love and support that mothers provide to their children throughout their lives. It's a celebration of the unique and vital role mothers play in families and communities. The Program was inaugurated by V.K. Magotra, former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ,Government of India & Dr.Anju Dogra, Govt. Health Department, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir and Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, J&K Health Department, Mukesh Singh, Media Person Jammu were the Guest Of Honor. The Programe was commenced with the songs were "Maa Ki Mamta", "Maa Ki Moorat", "Tu Kitni achi Hai Kitni Bholi Hai- oh Payri Maa", "Chan Chan Shanke Meri Chudiya", "Tu Sach Much Rani Maa", "Hum Sab Ek Hai" & the music of the Play, composed by renowned music teacher Raju Bajgal. The chief guest said in his speech Mother's Day annually falls on the second Sunday of May, this year, it is on May 11. Mother's Day honours mothers and mother figures around the globe. It is a day to express our gratitude, love and appreciation for them through words, gifts, selfless gestures, and a reminder that one day is not enough to thank them for all the sacrifices they have made for us in the past. It is also a day to cherish your mom or a mother figure by showering them with thoughtful gifts or exciting surprises and appreciate the efforts of the BLSKS, organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective on the theme. The program was also recorded & uploaded online on Social Media for benefit of the peoples.
Welcome speech was given by Dr. M.L. Dogra, Chairman, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan said Mother's day is a time - honored tradition dedicated to honoring the selfless love, sacrifices, and unwavering support of mothers worldwide. It's a day to express gratitude and appreciation for the extraordinary role they play in shaping our lives and nurturing our growth, it's an opportune moment to reflect on the invaluable contributions of mothers in our lives. From the moment of conception, mothers embark on a journey filled with boundless love, devotion, and sacrifice. They are the architects of our earliest memories, the guiding lights that illuminate our path, and the steadfast pillars of strength during life's trials and triumphs. A mother is your first friend, your best friend, your forever friend. Moms are like buttons - they hold everything together. A mother's hug lasts long after she lets go. The only thing better than having you for a mom is my children having you for a grandma. Mothers are guardian angels for their children, always loving and supporting them. Because she is the first person a child sees after birth, every youngster holds a particular place in their heart for their mother. This is why a child and their mother will have such a strong attachment.
The singers, musician, actors who performed in the musical play were K K Joshi, Mahesh Chander Kotwal, Rajni Gupta, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, Naiya Meenia and many others presented the enthralled performance at last of the programe Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
