Early Times Report JAMMU, May 21: Alexander Memorial School, Jammu, held its Annual Investiture Ceremony for the Students' Council on May 21, 2025, with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at the school campus. The event was graced by Harvinder Kour, Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO), Zone Jammu, as the Chief Guest, and Rev. Hemanta Digal, Priest In-Charge, St. Paul's Church, as the Guest of Honour. The school's Administrator, Esther William, and Principal, Marshlaw Khokhar, extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries with floral bouquets. Distinguished members of the Alexander Memorial Educational Society (AMES) also marked their presence, including Mr. Johnny William, IPS (Retd.), President of AMES and Former IGP, Victor John, Vice President, and other senior management members. The ceremonial highlight was the presentation of the School Flag and House Flags to the newly elected student leaders. The Chief Guest formally handed over the flags and adorned the Head Boy, Head Girl, and House Captains with sashes and badges, symbolizing their new responsibilities. The Students' Council, led by Head Boy Master Abraham Khokhar, Head Girl Miss Upasana Gill, Deputy Head Boy Master Mohd Imran Malik, and Deputy Head Girl Miss Mehar Kalyan, took a solemn oath of allegiance, obedience, and loyalty to the school and the nation. The House Captains for the four houses were also installed: Youngson House: Amrish Singh and Diya Dogra Hutchison House: Aran Sotra and Aditi Arora Alexander House: Zeeshan Ayoub and Liza William House: Samrat Kumar and Esha Thakur In her inspirational address, Chief Guest Mrs. Harvinder Kour congratulated the council members and emphasized the importance of honesty, integrity, and loyalty in leadership roles. She urged students to carry out their duties with commitment and strive to be responsible citizens and compassionate human beings. Drawing from her background in sports, she encouraged students to actively participate in sports and physical activities for all-round development. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks presented by S.K. Munshi, School Coordinator. The vibrant and memorable programme ended with the school band playing the National Anthem, resonating a strong sense of pride and unity. |
