Early Times Report SAMBA, May 21: In a continued effort to curb illegal mining activities, the Samba Police have seized seven vehicles, including six dumpers and a tractor-trolley, across various areas of the district. These vehicles were reportedly being used for the unauthorized transportation and extraction of construction material. The operation was conducted by police teams led by SHO PS Purmandal, SHO PS Ghagwal, Incharge PP Supwal (PS Samba), and Incharge PP Rajpura (PS Ghagwal), who were on routine patrolling duty in their respective jurisdictions. The vehicles seized include: Dumper JK21J-8683 Dumper JK02CT-9433 Dumper JK21G-7370 Dumper JK21H-8683 Dumper JK20-2893 Dumper JK21H-4848 One tractor trolley (without registration number) All vehicles were reportedly engaged in the illegal transportation of minerals in violation of mining regulations. Following the seizures, the vehicles were handed over to the Department of Geology & Mining, Samba, for further legal proceedings. This operation underscores the commitment of Samba Police to enforcing environmental laws and preventing the exploitation of natural resources.
