DIG JKS Range visits border villages in Samba, Kathua | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, May 21: In a significant outreach initiative aimed at enhancing security and fostering community engagement in the sensitive border districts of Samba and Kathua, DIG JKS Range, Sh. Shiv Kumar (IPS), conducted a visit to several border villages today. He was accompanied by SSP Samba Sh. Varinder Singh Manhas (JKPS), SSP Kathua Sh. Shobit Saxena (IPS), SP Operations Sh. Mukund (IPS), DySP Operations, and SDPOs of the region. The senior officers interacted with locals during a series of public meetings and visited various Border Police Posts and BSF installations to assess ground realities and boost inter-agency coordination. During his interaction with villagers, DIG Shiv Kumar appealed to the public to maintain peace, promote communal harmony, and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood. He encouraged citizens to share any information related to suspicious activities with the police to help maintain security and order in the region. Reassuring the local populace, the DIG emphasized that the Jammu and Kashmir Police is committed to serving and protecting the people. "Our aim is to ensure a secure environment where citizens feel safe and supported. We are always here for you," said DIG Shiv Kumar, while addressing the villagers. He further added, "Let us work hand in hand to support our armed forces and build a stronger, united India." The visit was well-received by the local communities, who appreciated the efforts of the police in maintaining peace and ensuring their safety.
