JAMMU, May 21: The Mata Kheer Bhawani Yatra Welfare Society has extended its heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Chief Secretary, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, and the concerned Deputy Commissioners for their proactive efforts in ensuring a smooth and hassle-free Mata Kheer Bhawani Yatra from June 1st, 2025.The society appreciates the administration's meticulous planning, including regular meetings to ensure preparedness and address concerns, effective collaboration with various departments to facilitate the yatra.
In a handout issued here, Mata Kheer Bhawani Yatra Welfare Society Convenor Kiran Wattal expressed heartfelt appreciation for LG Manoj Sinha's exceptional leadership and vision over the past three years, particularly highlighting the outstanding facilities provided to yatris last year under his guidance.Wattal also commended Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for being the first CM to visit the Kheer Bhawani shrine before the mela, demonstrating his commitment to the community and the yatra's success. The administration's efforts to provide top-notch facilities and ensure a smooth yatra experience reflect their dedication to serving the community and promoting the cultural significance of the Kheer Bhawani yatra.
Wattal said that Mata Kheer Bhawani Yatra Welfare Society plays a vital role in facilitating the annual pilgrimage by coordinating with Administration and ensuring smooth conduct of the yatra, providing transportation, accommodation, and essential supplies and acting as a bridge between the community and administration.Wattal observed that Kheer Bhawani Yatra holds immense religious significance for Kashmiri Pandits, and the society's efforts ensure a memorable experience for devotees. The society's dedication and the administration's support will contribute to the success of the yatra, said Wattal.
Wattal assured community members, both within the country and abroad, of a smooth and successful yatra, with all necessary arrangements in place. This includes transportation, accommodation and essential supplies, adequate security to ensure devotees' safety with effective coordination and support from the administration. The society invited community members to participate in the yatra, promising a memorable experience.
