Five Mobile/Wallet Snatchers Arrested by Miran Sahib Police

Jammu, May 25: In a significant breakthrough, Police Station Miran Sahib has apprehended five notorious mobile and wallet snatchers involved in multiple criminal cases across the region. The arrests came following a written complaint by Rajat Sudhan of Langotian, which led to the registration of FIR No. 65/2025 under Section 305 BNS.
Under the vigilant supervision of SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Jai Paul Sharma, ASI Fayaz Ahmed led the investigation, with overall guidance from SDPO R.S. Pura and SP Headquarters. Their prompt and dedicated efforts resulted in the successful arrest of the accused:
1. Karanjeet Singh @Jimmy, resident of Khour Deonian, Tehsil R.S. Pura
2. Jashandeep Singh, resident of Village Koulpur, Vijaypur
3. Amit Sandu @Pakk, resident of Bhadurkhan, Tehsil Bishnah
4. Sumit Kumar Sharma, resident of Mehmoodpur, Bishnah
5. Mohd Sabar, resident of Sujwan Camp, Samba
Police also recovered several snatched mobile phones, a sharp-edged weapon, and two motorcycles from their possession, which are believed to have been used in the commission of crimes.
The accused are known for their involvement in multiple snatching incidents in the area, posing a serious threat to public safety. The investigation is ongoing to uncover further details and possibly identify additional associates.
Local residents have lauded the Jammu Police for their swift and effective action in curbing criminal activities and ensuring the safety and security of the community.
The Jammu Police reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order, vowing to continue taking stringent measures against anti-social and anti-national elements to uphold peace and security in the region.
