| 4.29 grams of heroine like substance recovered at Dadwara | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, June 2: In continuation to take tough action against drug menace and its propagators within the District, J&K Police Kathua under the supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS recovered Approx. 4.29 grams of heroin (chitta) like substance at Dadwara Near Pvt. School area of PS Billawar and one drug peddler was arrested alongwith vehicle(motor bike) used in the commission of crime was also seized on spot.
On 01/06/2025 Police team of P/S Billawar led by SHO Billawar Insp. Zaheer Mushtaq under the guidance of SDPO Billawar Sh. Neeraj Padyar established a naka for checking of vehicles at Dadwara Near Private School on Dhar Road and saw one motorcycle bearing Reg.No.JK08 N- 7756 coming from Mahanpur towards Phinter stopped for checking on suspicious grounds, to evade checking the said person tried to escape from the spot, but the alert police team apprehended him. While questioning he disclosed his name as Ankit Supolia S/o Pawan Kumar R/o Dharamkot Distt. Kathua. During his personal search 04.29 grams of Heroine (chitta) like substance has been recovered from his possession which alongwith vehicle (motorbike) got seized and said person got arrested. In this regard a case FIR No. 85/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Billawar and further investigation started.
Kathua Police again requests people of the area to come forward and share information about any such illicit activity with Police for the cause and assures that their identity will be kept confidential. |
