15-day Youth Development Programme on 'Premier Banker' inaugurates

UDHAMPUR, July 7: A national-level initiative aimed at empowering youth with industry-relevant skills and leadership qualities, a 15-day Youth Development Programme was formally inaugurated by Principal of the college Dr. Nalini Pathania along with Resource Person of the programme , Mr. Satpal Kalsi, representatives from ICT Academy Mr. Lovetesh and Mr. Aijaz at Government College for Women (GCW) Udhampur here today.
The programme was organized by the Government College for Women Udhampur in collaboration with ICT Academy and Atos Prayas Foundation.
The programme aims to equip students with the skills, mindset, and confidence required to meet today's competitive job market and to prepare them for leadership roles in various sectors. The training will cover critical areas including communication skills, problem-solving, team building, time management, interview skills, and professional grooming. The programme will continue for the next 15 days, featuring expert sessions, interactive workshops, and hands-on training, aiming to empower the youth with the tools and confidence needed to face real-world challenges.
The inaugural ceremony began with a welcome note by Dr. Indu Khajuria, Associate Professor of Chemistry and Convenor, IQAC. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. Nalini Pathania, Principal, GCW Udhampur, who addressed all the participants and also highlighted the importance of such initiatives in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. She applauded the efforts of ICT Academy and the college faculty in organising this comprehensive programme.
The Resource person of the programme, Mr. Satpal Kalsi guided the students regarding various future prospects. Speaking on the occasion, the representatives from ICT Academy Mr. Lovetesh and Mr. Aijaz emphasised on the need for holistic youth development and shared the broader vision of ICT Academy in fostering employability among students across India.
On the occasion, a scintillating cultural programme was also presented by the students from department of Music which was highly applauded by the audiences.
Senior faculty members Dr. Monika Gupta and Dr. Mool Raj were also present during the programme. Prof. Yash Paul from the Department of History briefed the audience about the role of Career Counselling and Guidance in Women Empowerment. The entire event was organised by Prof. Yash Kumar from the Department of Music. Students from various departments and members of the print media also attended the event.
