RSS to reach every home during centenary year | | | Sanjay Pandita Early Times Report
Jammu, July 7: As part of its centenary year celebrations, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will undertake an extensive outreach campaign to connect with every village and household across the country. The organization also plans to hold Hindu Sammelans in 58,964 Mandals (rural units) and 44,055 Bastis (urban settlements) nationwide. This was announced by Sunil Ambekar, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of the RSS, during an interaction with the media on the sidelines of the Prant Pracharak Baithak, held at Keshav Kunj, Jhandewalan, Delhi on July 4–6. Ambekar said that detailed planning for the centenary year was discussed in the Baithak. “Hindu Sammelans will be organized at the Mandal level in rural areas and the Basti level in urban areas, involving participation from all sections of society,” he stated. He explained that these Sammelans would focus on social festivals, unity and harmony, and propagate the concept of Panch Parivartan (Five Transformations). Additionally, Samajik Sadbhav Baithaks (Social Harmony Meetings) will be held in 11,360 blocks/towns to further social cohesion. According to the Sangh’s structural divisions, there are 924 districts across the country. In each of these, Pramukh Nagrik Seminars will be held, with themes centered around Ideas of Bharat, Pride in Bharat, and Bharatiya Swa (selfhood or identity). Ambekar also announced that an extensive Grih Sampark Abhiyan (household outreach program) will be launched to personally connect with the maximum number of households in every village and Basti. “The primary goal of the centenary year is inclusive outreach—across professions, regions, and communities—to foster holistic social integration,” he said. The centenary year celebrations will officially begin with the Vijayadashami Utsav, in which all Swayamsevaks will participate. “India is progressing in all sectors, particularly in technology and economic development. However, m The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will undertake an extensive outreach campaign to connect with every village and household across the country. The organization also plans to hold Hindu Sammelans in 58,964 Mandals (rural units) and 44,055 Bastis (urban settlements) nationwide. Detailed planning for the centenary year was discussed in the Baithak. “Hindu Sammelans will be organized at the Mandal level in rural areas and the Basti level in urban areas. re technological or economic growth is not enough. We must also preserve the distinctive values of our nation—individual welfare, collective living, and environmental consciousness,” Ambekar emphasized. “These values form the core of Panch Parivartan, and through the centenary programs, this message will be conveyed to society. If the community embraces and participates in it, our development will be inclusive and all-encompassing,” he added. Ambekar further stated that, apart from centenary planning, discussions during the Baithak also touched upon key contemporary issues. He shared updates on the situation in Manipur, where Swayamsevaks are working actively to restore peace and promote social harmony. “Positive changes are becoming visible on the ground as Swayamsevaks are engaging with both communities to normalize the situation. Karyakartas from bordering Prants (regions) also shared their on-ground experiences and the current status of their areas,” he said. “Swayamsevaks, with the help of locals, are working tirelessly to organize and assist people in resolving their issues.” Highlighting training efforts, Ambekar informed that 100 Prashikshan Vargs (training camps) were organized from April to June this year. A total of 17,609 Karyakartas under the age of 40 received training through 75 camps, while 4,270 Shiksharthis in the 40–60 age group attended 25 Vargs. Karyakartas from 8,812 locations across the country took part in these Sangh Shiksha Vargs. When asked about religious conversions, Ambekar asserted that conversions through greed, coercion, exploitation of circumstances, or conspiracy are wrong. Responding to another question, he stated that the RSS believes all Indian languages are national languages, and that primary education should be imparted in the Matri Bhasha (mother tongue). Also present on the occasion were Delhi Prant Sanghchalak Dr. Anil Agarwal, Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Prachar Pramukh Narendra Thakur, and Pradeep Joshi. |
