Conduct of Lecture on “Importance of Education in Life” | | | early times report
Poonch, July 23: In line with the Indian Army’s core objective of fostering cordial relations with local communities through AWAM, a lecture on the ‘Importance of Education in Life’ was organized on 23rd July 2025 at Behramgala, Poonch, to spread awareness among the children and locals. The aim of the event was to raise awareness among students about the significance of education and literacy, as well as to inform them about various government initiatives aimed at promoting education. During the event, a representative of the Indian Army delivered a motivational lecture, highlighting the importance of education for children and youth in Behramgala. The Army representative also emphasized the immense potential of talented and academically bright students in the region. However, due to lack of proper guidance, many students fail to fully harness their potential. In this context, the interaction aimed to tap into this untapped potential and encouraged students to consider joining the armed forces through Sainik Schools, other educational institutions and pre-commissioning training academies. Modalities for providing guidance, coaching and assistance to students, along with awareness about joining the armed forces, were also discussed during the interaction. A total of 33 locals attended the event. The event successfully conveyed the significance of education and its vital role in the growth of society. The Army representative urged the children to pursue their ambitions in their respective fields and contribute to the environment, society and the nation as responsible citizens. The representative further assured them of all possible guidance and assistance from the Indian Army in their future endeavours. The children and locals expressed their appreciation for the initiatives taken by the Indian Army for the welfare of the local populace and students. This endeavour by the Indian Army to reach out to populations residing in remote areas, where civil administration has limited accessibility, will go a long way in developing and strengthening trust between the JAWAN and AWAM. The event also served as a platform to strengthen the bond between the Indian Army and the people of the region, showcasing the Army’s unwavering commitment to service to the nation.
