APS Damana organises Investiture Ceremony 2025-26 with Grandeur, Gusto

Jammu, July 23: The Investiture Ceremony for the Academic Session 2025–26 was conducted on 23 July 2025 with great dignity and solemnity at Army Public School Damana, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to nurturing responsible future leaders. It truly celebrated the essence of student leadership and marked the beginning of a new chapter of responsibility and excellence.
The Investiture Ceremony is one of the most prestigious events in the school calendar where deserving young leaders are formally vested with their roles and responsibilities.
The event began with a Special Morning Assembly setting the tone for the day with patriotic fervour and a spirit of dedication. The ceremony was graced by the revered Principal, Head Mistress, Teachers and Students who joined in bestowing the sashes upon the newly elected School Student Council members, symbolising their official induction into the leadership body of the school.
The ceremony advanced with the prime custom of bestowing sashes by the Principal, Mrs Pushpinder Kaur and Head Mistress, Mrs Anurita Kaul to the newly formed members of the Student Council who were selected through a rigorous interview and shortlisting process ensuring that each leader embodies the values and discipline of the school.
Tanishq Bhat (XII) and Gaytri Singh (XII) were bestowed with the prestigious titles of Senior Head Boy and Senior Head Girl respectively, while Trisha Yadav (V) and Namish Mengi (V) were appointed as the Junior Head Boy and Junior Head Girl.
Furthermore, the students entrusted with various key responsibilities included Sahil Bandral (XII) and Mridul Pandita (V) as Senior and Junior Discipline In-charges, Malvi Saini (XII) and Adharv Arora (V B) as Senior and Junior Co-curricular In-charges, Jaspreet Singh (XII) and Vanya Rana (V) as Senior and Junior Sports In-charges, Jogeshwar Singh (XII) and Nanshika (V) as Senior and Junior Health In-charges, Diya Sharma (XII) and Anahita Bali (V) as Senior and Junior English Editors, Simran Manhas (XII D) and Vamika Singh (V) as Senior and Junior Hindi Editors, and Deepti Singh (VIII E) and Nitya (VII) as the Sanskrit Editor and Vice Editor of the School respectively.
The House Appointees of various houses were also accorded with the titles of Captain, Vice-Captain and House Prefect. Maanvansh (XII) & Akhil Deep (V) were chosen as Sr. & Jr. Captains of Amartya Kumar Sen House whereas Ajay Manhas (XII) & Ashel Sharma (V) were chosen as Sr. & Jr. Captains of Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman House. Meetali Manhas (XII) & Reyansh Bali (V) were appointed as Sr. & Jr. Captains of Dr. Hargobind Khorana House whereas Palak Sharma (XII) & Gurvansh Kumar (V) were chosen as Sr. & Jr. Captains of Rabindranath Tagore House
The Head Boy and Head Girl then led the council in taking a solemn oath, pledging to carry out their duties with integrity, responsibility and a commitment to uphold the honour and ethos of Army Public School Damana.
In her address, Principal Mrs. Pushpinder Kaur congratulated the newly appointed leaders and urged them to serve as role models, guiding their peers with wisdom, empathy and vision. She emphasized the importance of perseverance, teamwork and leading by example. She also encouraged the students to balance their responsibilities with academic excellence.
The ceremony concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks, followed by the National Anthem leaving behind a spirit of pride, unity and leadership.
