Mission YUVA: J&K Bank organizes Udyami YUVA Day | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, July 23: Carrying forward the J&K Government's flagship initiative Mission YUVA (MY) aimed at empowering local youth through entrepreneurship and self-employment, J&K Bank today organised 'Udyami YUVA Day' here in the Conference Hall DC Office Complex Kishtwar. Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma, who was the chief guest, handed over loan sanction letters to 44 youth beneficiaries to help them to establish their ventures. ADDC Pawan Kotwal; Assistant Director Employment Shafqat Ali Keen; Cluster Head Jammu and Kashmir Bank Khurshid Ahmad Akhoon; Labour Employment Department officers and Branch Managers of J&K banks were also present on the occasion along with the YUVA scheme beneficiaries. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner expressed his pleasure at the enthusiasm shown by the youth towards entrepreneurship. He encouraged the youth to utilise the opportunity provided through the scheme to establish different business start ups with the support of entire government machinery right from the conception to its implementation. Emphasizing that the success of the Mission also depends upon the participation of youth, DC Kishtwar urged all the young entrepreneurs and employment seekers to come forward and register to participate in the process and become job providers. Further, the DC appreciated the contribution and efforts of J&K Bank and its employees. The Cluster Head said that the J&K Bank remains steadfast in supporting the Government's vision of empowering youth through sustainable livelihood opportunities. On behalf of J&K Bank, he assured the people that the Bank will make every possible effort to make the Mission YUVA program a grand success.
