Early Times Report
RAMBAN, July 23: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a meeting to finalize arrangements for the upcoming Sampoornata Abhiyan celebration in Aspirational Block Khari and the 7-Day Aakansha Haat (Mela) at Ramban.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, General Manager DIC Ravinder Anand, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Mohammad Ashfaq, Assistant Commissioner Development Shrinath Suman, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers of PWD and JPDCL, BDOs, Tehsildars, and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of showcasing achievements under the Sampoornata Abhiyan, which targets the saturation of six key developmental indicators in Aspirational Block Khari. As per the guidelines of NITI Aayog, it was decided that a grand celebration will be held in the premises of the BDO Office Khari, where officers and officials with exceptional contributions to the campaign will be felicitated. The Sampoornata Abhiyan, under the Aspirational Block Programme, is a significant initiative aimed at achieving "saturation" in key indicators-ensuring that all eligible individuals and communities benefit from government schemes and services.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed preparations for the Aakansha Haat, a week-long event focused on the sale and exhibition of local products, in addition to creating awareness and delivering benefits under various government schemes and welfare programmes. All departments were instructed to install stalls, display and sell products; offer on-the-spot services, and actively engage the public throughout the event.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all departments to ensure comprehensive arrangements and active participation to make both events successful and impactful for the people of Ramban.
