DBU School of Nursing organises alumni meet

MANDI GOBINDGARH, July 30: The School of Nursing at Desh Bhagat University, in collaboration with the Alumni Welfare Association, successfully hosted an Alumni Meet at the Mahapragya Seminar Hall. The event brought together former nursing students from various batches in a joyful reunion to celebrate their shared journey, professional achievements, and enduring connection to their alma mater.
The program commenced with a warm welcome by Ms. Bhupinder Kaur and Ms. Karanvir Kahlon, followed by an inaugural address by Prof. Dr. Lovesampuranjot Kaur, Principal of the School of Nursing. She expressed heartfelt appreciation for the alumni's contributions to the healthcare sector and lauded their continued dedication to service and excellence. Special thanks were extended to Prof. Dr. Prabhjot Singh, Deputy Director, School of Nursing, for his continuous guidance and visionary leadership.
Gracing the occasion as Chief Guests were Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor and Dr. Tajinder Kaur Pro-Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti also graced the event and addressed the gathering, emphasizing the crucial role of alumni in building a strong professional network and highlighting the School of Nursing's progress and achievements over the years.
A departmental presentation showcased recent milestones and innovations, followed by a variety of engaging activities. These included cultural performances by current students, interactive games, and an open-mic session, creating an atmosphere of celebration and nostalgia. Many alumni took to the stage to share their professional journeys and expressed deep gratitude for the foundational education and mentorship they received at the university.
A highlight of the event was the felicitation ceremony, where distinguished alumni were honored for their exemplary contributions to healthcare and community welfare. The celebration concluded with a group photograph and a networking lunch, providing attendees a platform to reconnect, reflect, and envision the future together. The Alumni Meet was a resounding success, reaffirming the strong bond between the alumni and Desh Bhagat University's School of Nursing, and underscoring the institution's commitment to fostering lifelong connections.
