Early Times Report JAMMU, July 30: JKSPYM, State Level Coordinating Agency (SLCA) for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) and the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR), organized today a one-day awareness program on "Drug Abuse Prevention" at Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Nehama, District Kulgam. Principal Shabir Ahmad Bhat delivered a warm welcome and expressed gratitude to SLCA for initiating such a crucial program. The event saw active participation from approximately 101 students, primarily from classes 10th, 11th, and 12th, along with teachers. Experienced resource persons conducted engaging sessions using the "Navchetna" life skills-based module. This module is specifically designed to educate adolescents about the perils of drug abuse and equip them with skills to resist peer pressure and make informed decisions. The program concluded with all participants pledging under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) to uphold a drug-free lifestyle and promote the same within their communities. A vote of thanks was extended to the school administration, students, and all stakeholders for their enthusiastic cooperation and participation. This initiative underscores JKSPYM's steadfast commitment to fostering a drug-free society through grassroots-level awareness, education, and preventive measures. |
