Jammu, Aug 13: The Society for Community and Justice Services (SCJS) celebrated International Youth Day with great enthusiasm and purpose under the chairmanship of Dr. Shreyansh Kumar Jain, State Yoga Commissioner & Society Chairman. The program was presided over by Sh. Ashok Gupta, President, while Mr. Ashok Khajuria, Secretary, warmly welcomed all participants and introduced the significance of the day. Eminent personalities including Prof. Virender Gupta, Sh. C. M. Sharma, Sh. Narinder Wadhera, Sh. Vijay Sharma, Sh. Abhinandan Jain, and Sh. Surinder Gupta addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of youth participation in shaping a vibrant, responsible, and progressive society. Adding a cultural touch to the occasion, Mrs. Bansal recited a soulful bhajan, and Sh. Ashok Gupta presented a heartfelt poem emphasizing the role and responsibilities of youth in nation-building. Delivering the keynote lecture, Dr. Jain gave a comprehensive address on the duties of youth towards society, family, parents, and friends. He encouraged young people to uphold ethical values, respect traditions, work for social harmony, and contribute actively to national development. The event also shed light on the rights of youth, including access to quality education, skill development, employment opportunities, freedom of expression, and participation in decision-making. Suggestions were made to celebrate International Youth Day through seminars, volunteering drives, skill-building workshops, sports, cultural activities, and recognition of young achievers. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Khajuria, followed by the National Anthem, marking the end of a day dedicated to youth empowerment, unity, and inspiration. |
