| KVK Reasi organises Training Programme | | |  Early Times Report
REASI, Aug 13: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi under the administrative control of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) organized one day training programme on "Self Help Groups(SHGs) & Women Empowerment" here today at Saloon village in Reasi district of J&K which was enthuasistically attended by the number of women members of the area.
The programme was organised under the dynamic stewardship of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. B.N. Tripathi and able guidance of Director Extension Prof. Amrish Vaid of SKUAST-J.Dr. Banarsi Lal,Chief Scientist & Head of KVK Reasi warmly welcomed the participants and briefed the role and significance of Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the current scenario of livelihood diversification especially for the marginalized rural women of hilly areas. He guided the trainees on regular saving, budgeting, record keeping, regular meetings, regular interloaning, linkage with banks etc. He stressed on the agri-entrepreneurship development at village level by working in groups and discussed on Atama Nirbhar Bharat.
