Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 13: Building on its earlier launch, FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh (JKL) has successfully concluded its three-day STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) workshop series under the National Initiative to promote STEM education among girls. The program aimed at addressing the gender gap in STEM fields, where societal stereotypes often discourage young women from pursuing careers in science and technology. Curated by Chairperson Aarti Chowdhary in collaboration with Collegify, the initiative sought to challenge prevailing perceptions, broaden horizons, and inspire young girls to see themselves as future leaders in innovation and research. In the absence of the Chairperson, FLO JKL was ably represented by Varuna Anand, National Initiative Head - Partnerships & Collaborations; Nandita Mehta, Secretary; Sona Mehta, Treasurer; and Rupika Sahai, Vice Chairperson. Over the course of the workshops, six leading schools in Jammu - G.D. Goenka, K.C. Public School, Model Academy, Heritage School, J.K. Public School, and Jodhamal Public School - were covered, reaching nearly 1,500 girl students. The sessions were facilitated by Collegify's expert team comprising Richa Taneja, Regional Manager & Head of Enrollments; Ilakshee Nath, Senior Admission Specialist; and Taarika Kakkar, Senior Admission Specialist - Careers & Programs.
