jammu, Sept 5: To celebrates the “ Happy Teacher’s Day 2025 ” Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production & presented in its Musical Play “ GURUKUL ” at Rehearsal Hall , Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu on the theme for this year is "Inspiring the Next Generation of Learners," emphasizing the inspiring role of teachers in inspiring their students to learn, innovate, and develop further than studies. The Musical play was written, produced and directed by Dr.M.L.Dogra , former Regional Director , Song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ,Government of India.The Program was inaugurated by Sh.V.K.Magotra, Former Regional Director , Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India. Dr. Tara Singh Charak , Former Deputy Director, Health Department ,J&K Government , Dr. Anju Dogra, J&K health department, Mukesh Singh, Media Person Jammu were the Guest of Honor. The programe was commenced with songs “Jai Saraswati Maa”, “ Sun sun Sehali meri sun” , “Bin Guru Giyan Nhi ” ,”Padho Padho Padho Loko” sung by the renowned artistes of BLSKS. The chief guest lauded the role of Teachers & students and also necessity of education. Teacher's Day themes often focus on recognizing teachers' impact, such as "Inspiring the Next Generation of Learners," or on addressing professional challenges, like advocating for a "new social contract for education" by valuing teacher voices. Other themes highlight specific aspects of the profession, from their leadership during crises to the importance of nurturing new teachers for the future of education. A teacher, also called a schoolteacher or formally an educator, is a person who helps students to acquire knowledge, competence, or virtue, via the practice of teaching. Sh.Magotra also underlined the importance of staging of such plays in all parts of the state to generate the awareness of culture of our country & urged the artistes / cultural organization to contribute in enriching the cultural heritage and inspiring the younger generation to follow foot prints of their elders in preserving the composite culture of the nation. The artists of BLSks presented theme based songs which were written by Dr.M.L.Dogra & the music was composed by Sanjay Kumar Pashi , Senior Music Instructor BLSKS . The program was also recorded & uploaded online on Social Media for benefit of the peoples. Earlier welcome address of Dr. M.L.Dogra, Former Regional Director ,Song and Drama Division ,Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ,Government of India and chairman of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan said on the occasion , 5th September is celebrated as Teachers Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. 5th September is the birthday of a great teacher “Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan ” , who was a staunch believer of education, and was a well-known diplomat, scholar, the President of India and above all, a teacher. When some of his students and friends approached him and requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday, he said, "instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud privilege, if 5th September is observed as Teachers day. Teachers, our second parents, Teaching, a talent, not everyone possesses, great minds are nurtured by great teachers. ‘TEACHER’ stands for Talented Educated Adorable Charming Helpful Encouraging Responsible. Although there isn't any acronym for 'Teacher', the term generally describes a person who educates students and helps them solve problems relating to academics and life.
