Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 5: Rakesh Mahajan, Vice President of BJP J&K UT and In-Charge of the Yuva Morcha, chaired his first introductory meeting with the youth wing, marking the beginning of a proactive phase for BJP's youth initiatives in the region. The meeting was attended by key leaders including JK UT General Secretary, Gopal Mahajan, BJP Yuva Morcha JKUT President Arun Parbhat, MLA Sunil Bhardwaj, and Abhishek Slathia, General Secretary BJYM Jammu Kashmir. The gathering served as a platform to discuss upcoming activities and strategies to enhance youth participation in the party's programs. Rakesh Mahajan, in his address, emphasized teamwork and active engagement, stating, "We will work hand in hand in the Yuva Morcha to make every initiative impactful. The upcoming Blood Donation Camp on September 7 and the Marathon on September 21 are key events that require maximum participation. The marathon will focus on BJP's mission of 'Nasha Mukt Bharat,' highlighting the party's commitment to a drug-free society. As the Morcha In-Charge, I will ensure that all members are effectively guided and supported in these activities." Gopal Mahajan, State General Secretary of BJP, briefly addressed the participants, outlining the work already undertaken by the Yuva Morcha, including initiatives under the ongoing Seva Pakhwada-a fortnight-long programme dedicated to the service of people, from September 17 to October 2 across the J&K UT. "The political goal of the BJP is not the pleasure of power but to serve the people through power," he said and emphasized the importance of consistent effort and teamwork in ensuring the success of the party's programmes. He said under the Seva Pakhwada, events like blood donation camps, marathon races, exhibitions, health camps, equipment distribution for disabled people, etc. would be organised. "The youth are the backbone of the nation, and we must empower them through every program and event organized by the Morcha," Gopal said. Mahajan's leadership was lauded by senior leaders, and he was presented with a bouquet by the BJP Yuva Morcha JKUT President Arun Parbhat as a gesture of appreciation. Arun Parbhat took a detailed session discussing strategies to ensure successful execution of all upcoming events. He outlined duties for each member, stressing the importance of planning, coordination, and maximum outreach for events like the blood donation camp, the marathon, and the initiative "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam." He urged members to actively engage the community and contribute to making each initiative meaningful and impactful. "All Morchas have their importance, but the Yuva Morcha is crucial. With 60% of the population being youth, it is essential to take every event seriously and ensure active participation. Modi Ji's vision for youth engagement guides us, and we must execute it with dedication," he said. Arun Parbhat expressed optimism, saying, "Under the guidance of Rakesh Mahajan, we have a unique opportunity to take the Yuva Morcha forward and strengthen its initiatives. Together, we will ensure that every program leaves a positive impact on the youth and the community." Arun Parbhat added that engaging the youth meaningfully in political and social initiatives is central to BJP's vision and that the party aims to harness the energy of young people for constructive social work and community development. MLA Sunil Bhardwaj said, "We are from BJP and will work tirelessly to strengthen our initiatives." The meeting was anchored by Abhishek Slathia, State General Secretary. |
