JKTJAC holds monthly meeting, highlights burning issues of teaching community

Jammu, Sept 7: A monthly of Jammu Kashmir Teachers'Joint Action Committee ( JKTJAC) held at Udhampur under the leadership of UT President Vinod Sharma today on 07.09.2025.
The meeting was attended by executive and apex body members of JKTJAC from all the zones of the district.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Vinod Sharma raised the genuine and burning issues of the teachers and urged the Education Minister and Secretary School Education to resolve these issues for the welfare of thousands of teachers of Jammu and Kashmir.
Raising the burning issue of comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme he appealed the Education Minister for the resolution of this issue. He said that even Hon'ble CAT has directed to transfer these teachers within the district.
Raising the genuine and burning issue of Old Pension Scheme in favour of employees appointed on or after 01.01.2010 Mr Sharma appealed the Government to implement it by fulfilling the promise of doing the same.
He also demanded Regularisation EVs converted ReTs whohavebeenwaitingforthesameforalongtime. He also demanded the conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III.
He also appealed the Director for DPC of teachers to masters to clear the backlog.
He also demande Benefit of Cash in Lieu in favour of teaching fraternity;
Conversion of headteachers posts into non plan posts of masters;
Release of time barred arrears of Teachers/masters; Raising Grade of teachers at par with their counter parts in other UTs; Earned leave in favour of teachers engaged during summer/ winter vacation for summer/ winter camps and for other duties; Filling up of vacant posts of Headmasters in headless schools,.
He also appealed Hon'ble Chief Minister Jenab Omar Abdullah Sahib to intervene in the matter of release of GP of employees who have applied for the drawl of same.
Expressing deep feelings and thoughts with families affected during this natural calamities in the whole UT Mr Sharma said that teachers are ever ready to help the administration in helping the affected families by any means.
He also appealed the Director School Education Jammu to relax the schooling hours for teaching and non teaching staff as still the connectivity hasn't been established in all areas as more than half roads are still closed and there is possibility of reaching the staff late in the places of their duty.
Earlier before starting the meeting two minute silence prayers were held to condole the sad demise of people who lost their precious lives during the natural calamities in the month of August and September.
