Resonance 2025: A fusion of memories and milestones at DAV College, Amritsar

AMRITSAR, Sept 16: The Postgraduate Department of Chemistry, DAV College, Amritsar, under the aegis of the PC Ray Chemical Society, celebrated its annual event Resonance 2025 with great enthusiasm. Organized by the students of M.Sc. ChemistrySem1&3, the event carried the theme "Spotlighting the Stars Behind Every Success Story" and aimed at tying the past, present, and future together in harmony.
The celebration commenced with a warm welcome by Sumit, Secretary of the PC Ray Chemical Society, who greeted Principal Dr. Amandeep Gupta, Head of Department Dr. Ravi Sharma, the faculty, non-teaching staff, and students. Dr.Ravi Sharma, addressing his first event as HOD, shared his kind words of inspiration. A bouquet and a badge were presented to the Principal, following which a cake-cutting ceremony added sweetness to the occasion.
The formal proceedings were steered by Ayushi Arora (M.Sc. Sem III),student Coordinator of P C Ray Chemical Society and Simar(M.Sc. Sem I), and Prof Jasleen, who hosted a series of engaging cultural and fun-filled activities. Four major games were conducted-Guess the Song from the Tune, Stack the Cups, Grab, Steal, and Borrow, and Guess the Emoji Movie. Alongside, minor events like Guessing the Childhood Pictures and the Whisper Challenge kept both teachers and students thoroughly entertained. Active participation from freshers, seniors, and faculty transformed the event into a vibrant celebration of unity and bonding.
A highlight of the day was the Tag Distribution Ceremony, where students of Semester III honored their teachers-including Dr. Ravi Sharma, Dr. J.J. Mohindru,Prof Rajesh Mittu,Dr. Munish Gupta, Dr. Raghu Raj, Prof Jasleen, and Prof Vishabh-with personalized titles. The non-teaching staff were also acknowledged for their constant support in academic and laboratory work.
The event concluded with a short documentary encapsulating the spirit of the day, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks.by Prof Jasleen
Principal Dr. Gupta appreciated the unique idea of blending Teachers' Day, Freshers' and Farewell into one unified celebration, calling it a "new tradition that binds every generation of students and mentors together."
The program ended on a cheerful note with refreshments for faculty and students, leaving behind cherished memories and a renewed spirit of togetherness.
