majalta, Sept 18: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Government Degree College Majalta commenced the celebration of Seva Parv on 17th September, 2025, in the Multi-Purpose Hall of the institution with an oath-taking ceremony. Faculty, NSS volunteers, and students pledged to dedicate themselves to the spirit of service, cleanliness, and social responsibility.
On the second day i.e 18th of September,2025, the college organized an awareness drive in the adjoining village of Battal, Majalta. The local residents were sensitized about water-borne diseases, dengue prevention, healthy lifestyle practices, and various Government welfare schemes. Pamphlets were distributed, and interactive sessions were held to address the queries of villagers.
In her address, Principal Dr. Shalini Sharma motivated students to inculcate the values of Seva in daily life and work for the upliftment of society. The programme was effectively managed by Prof. Kamaljeet, Prof. Palak Gandotra, and IQAC Convenor Dr. Chander Mohan.
The events concluded with a vote of thanks and a resolve to continue such
community-oriented initiatives, thereby strengthening the bond between the college and the local community.
