Jammu, Sept 15: As part of the ongoing Sewa Pakhwada celebrations, the NSS and NCC Units of Government Degree College, R.S. Pura successfully organized a Donation Drive aimed at promoting the spirit of service and social responsibility among students and college fraternity. The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty, students, and staff members who came forward to donate essential items including clothes, books, Stationary and hygiene kits. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour, appreciated the efforts of the NSS Volunteers and NCC cadets and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in shaping responsible citizens.
The event was coordinated under the guidance of NSS Programme Officer Prof Lokesha Dabgotra, who lauded the overwhelming support received for the noble cause. This initiative is part of a series of events being organized under Sewa Pakhwada, a nationwide campaign to celebrate selfless service and social outreach, in line with the vision of a caring and inclusive society.
