Early Times Report KHOUR, Sept 26: Government Degree College, Khour, observed Sewa Parv with great enthusiasm in the College Library by inaugurating a Community Shelf, an initiative aimed at promoting the values of sharing, service, and collective growth among students and faculty members. The program began with a brief address by the Principal of the College Dr. T.K. Sharma, who highlighted the significance of Sewa Parv as a festival of selfless service, aligning with the ethos of community building and mutual cooperation. He appreciated the Library's unique initiative of establishing a Community Shelf, which allows students and staff to contribute and borrow books freely. Librarian Ms. Samita Sharma explained that the Community Shelf is envisioned as a platform where knowledge and resources can be freely exchanged, ensuring that no learner is left behind due to lack of materials. "This step not only fosters a habit of sharing but also strengthens the culture of inclusiveness and social responsibility within the institution," she added. College faculty and students actively participated by donating books symbolizing the spirit of sewa (service). The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Librarian Ms Samita Sharma, appreciating the collective efforts of the College fraternity in making the initiative a success.
