Early Times Report BARI BRAHMANA, Sept 26: Dogra Degree College (Autonomous), successfully organized a Workshop on Flagship Schemes at its college auditorium today. The event brought together faculty, students, and guest speakers to deliberate on the objectives and implementation of various central government flagship programmes that are shaping the nation's development trajectory. The workshop was organized under the joint banner of the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) and the Career Counseling Cell of Dogra Degree College, in collaboration with My Bharat Jammu, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, and the Guiding and Counseling Cell for Youth Development, Gurha Slathia. The session commenced with a Welcome Address by Ms. Amarpreet Kaur, Convenor IIC, setting the tone for an informative and engaging program. This was followed by a detailed session on the theme "Flagship Schemes", delivered by eminent speakers Mr. Veer Pratap Singh Salathia and Mr. Sahil, who highlighted major programmes such as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, Start-up India, Mission Yuva, among others. The speakers emphasized the vital role of youth in understanding and disseminating the vision of these initiatives. They also discussed the transformative impact of such schemes on both rural and urban communities, underlining their contribution towards nation-building. Dr. Bela Thakur, Principal of Dogra Degree College, appreciated the initiative and stressed the importance of creating platforms that connect students with national development programs. She encouraged the youth to actively engage with such initiatives, enabling them to align their academic learning with real-world opportunities. The workshop concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ms. Simran Thakur, who expressed gratitude to the speakers, organizers, and participants for their valuable contributions.
