RAJOURI, Sept 30: In a significant step toward community health, nutrition, and environmental awareness, Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Sunderbani organized a Blood Donation Camp-cum-POSHAN Kits Distribution Camp under the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan as part of Seva Parv 2025 (17 Sept - 2 Oct).
The event was held on the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sh. Abhishek Sharma (IAS) and Director Health Services Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, under the overall supervision of CMO Rajouri Dr. Manohar Lal Rana and BMO Sunderbani Dr. Meena Kumari, who played a pivotal role in planning and organizing the initiative.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Ramkash Sharma (ADC Sunderbani, JKAS) and Rajinder Sharma (DDC Member). A special felicitation was awarded to Sh. Yash Paul, a TB Vijeta from Kuldabbi, recognizing his inspiring journey of recovery. As part of a unique effort, medicinal plants were distributed to TB patients along with POSHAN kits, encouraging patients to nurture the plants as a symbol of health, growth, and environmental responsibility. The blood donation drive commenced with ADC Sunderbani donating first, motivating youth and community members to participate actively. Full logistical support was provided by GMC Rajouri, and the blood collection team led by Dr. Shabnum Ara, Consultant Pathologist, ensured smooth and professional operations.
