Banihal, Sept 30: In a shocking incident, Ramban Police have arrested a doctor posted at Government Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal on charges of molesting a pregnant woman during a routine medical checkup.
According to police, at about 4:30 pm today, a written complaint was lodged by a woman (name withheld) of Banihal. “In her complaint, she stated that while undergoing a routine pregnancy checkup in a hospital, the on-duty doctor allegedly molested her and touched her in an indecent manner,” policer said, adding, “Acting swiftly on the complaint, Banihal Police registered FIR No. 105/2025 under Section 74 BNS at Police Station Banihal. The accused doctor was immediately arrested and is currently in police custody.”
Police have initiated a detailed investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, Ramban Police have reiterated its firm commitment to safeguarding the dignity and safety of women, assuring that strict legal action will be taken against offenders involved in such crimes. |
