Udhampur, Nov 5: In a sustained drive against narco-criminals, Udhampur Police has attached another vehicle worth Rs 12 lakh belonging to a drug peddler under the provisions of the NDPS Act.
During the investigation of Case FIR No. 114/2025 U/S 8/15/29 NDPS Act of PS Rehambal, it was found that the accused Abdul Wahid S/o Abdul Rashid R/o Garnai, Tehsil & District Udhampur had acquired a vehicle bearing registration number JK14J-9447 from proceeds of narcotic trade.
Accordingly, the said vehicle has been attached under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act for further legal proceedings.
It is pertinent to mention that Udhampur Police has attached property worth Rs 10.62 Crore in NDPS-related cases during the current year, reaffirming its firm resolve to make Udhampur a Drugs-Free District.
