Udhampur, Nov 5: Police team of Police Post Tikri led by its Incharge, while performing traffic checking duty stopped a blue-coloured scooty bearing registration number JK19-7667 coming from Jammu towards Udhampur. On checking, one person was found riding the scooty who disclosed his identity as Kazim Ashraf S/o Mohd. Ashraf R/o Near Old Bus Stand, Bhaderwah, District Doda.
During his personal search, 7.18 grams of heroin were recovered from his possession.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 184/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal and investigation into the case has been taken up.
With this arrest, the total number of drug peddlers arrested by Udhampur Police during the current year has reached 156, reaffirming its commitment towards a drug-free Udhampur.
