Jammu, Nov 8: 55 spirited NCC cadets of 8 J&K Girls Bn of PSPS GCW Gandhinagar (A Coy) set the stage ablaze with patriotism as they commemorated 150 years of the iconic “Vande Mataram” at the revered Balidan Stambh, a monument that stands tall as a symbol of supreme sacrifice. The air was thick with emotion and pride as the cadets-true daughters of the soil paid heartfelt homage to the brave hearts who laid down their lives for the motherland. With the tricolour waving high and musical notes of Vande Mataram reverberating through the air, the event turned into a stirring symphony of national pride. The cadets, clad in their immaculate uniforms, stood shoulder to shoulder, embodying the essence of unity in diversity. Their synchronized performances and rhythmic chants struck a chord with everyone present, igniting a flame of patriotism that refused to die down. Adding a creative touch to the occasion, a “Selfie Stand” made by cadets became the centre of attraction, drawing visitors like a magnet. It turned into a vibrant corner of pride, where every snapshot captured the spirit of being “Proud to be an Indian”. The surroundings came alive with colours, smiles and echoes of national devotion. Post the event, the cadets gathered in the college premises to take the Vande Mataram Pledge in presence of Principal Dr. Geetanjali Andotra, ANO Lt. Suman Bala and other Senior faculty members alongwith other students reaffirming their commitment to uphold the nation’s honour and integrity. As the voices rose in unison, it was truly a moment when every heartbeat vowed to the rhythm of the nation—a tribute that echoed the timeless spirit of India and once again validating that NCC cadets are an integral part of the growth of the nation.
