Jammu, Nov 13: A massive and strong protest demonstration was today organized by Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) at Tawi Bridge near Maharaja Hari Singh Statue, where hundreds of youth gathered to raise their voice against the blatantly discriminatory selection process of MBBS candidates in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) and the one-sided and vindictive action taken against SDPO Gandhi Nagar, Sh. Sunil Jasrotia. Addressing the charged gathering, Sanjeev Singh Rinku, President YRS , came down heavily on the university authorities for their Anti-Hindu and biased approach in the MBBS selection list, where Hindu candidates were given almost negligible representation, despite the fact that SMVDU is a temple of education built and maintained with donations and offerings from Hindu devotees from across the nation. He demanded immediate review and correction of the selection list, and warned that such selective victimization of Hindu youth will not be tolerated any longer. Former Presidents Vikram Singh Vicky , Rajan Singh Happy and Surinder Singh Gilli also addressed the protest, condemning the discriminatory and politically motivated action against SDPO Gandhi Nagar, Sh. Sunil Jasrotia, who is being deliberately targeted, while J&KAS Officer Azhar Khan, who had manhandled the matador driver and the wireless operator of SDPO Gandhi Nagar, continues to roam free without any punishment or departmental action. They said this blatant double standard exposes the bias within the system, and demanded that strict disciplinary proceedings be initiated against Azhar Khan without any delay. Prominent YRS leaders including Adv. Pushvinder Singh, Mohinder Singh, Ramesh Singh, Shamsher Singh, and Rajinder Singh (Core Committee Members) and other active members were also present and actively participated in the protest, declaring full support to the cause. The Sabha members warned the administration that if justice is not delivered immediately, and if the discrimination against Hindu candidates and selective targeting of honest officers continues, YRS will intensify its agitation across Jammu region, and the government alone will be responsible for the consequences. The YRS reaffirmed that it will continue to fight fearlessly for justice, equality, and dignity of the people of Jammu region, and will not remain silent spectators to any form of injustice or bias.
