Early Times Report REASI, Nov 13: In a swift and effective action, District Police Reasi solved a theft case within 24 hours of its registration and arrested two accused persons involved in the incident. Last midnight, one Arjun Singh S/O Late Ashok Singh R/O Kun Kanyalan, Panthal, Katra lodged a written complaint at Police Post Kakryal regarding a theft incident at Shiv Temple, Panthal, wherein some temple items had been stolen by unknown thieves. Acting promptly, Case FIR No. 311/2025 U/S 331(4), 305(d) BNS was registered at Police Station Katra. During the course of investigation, the police team of PP Kakryal led by its incharge traced and arrested two accused persons namely Sunil Kumar S/O Om Parkash R/O Sambal, Udhampur and Tilak Raj S/O Gyan Chand R/O Nali Treen, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi. All the stolen items worth approximately ?20,000 have been recovered from their possession. The vehicle (Taxi) bearing registration No. JK14L-0941, used by accused Sunil Kumar in the commission of the crime, has also been recovered and seized in the case. The entire operation was carried out by SHO P/S Katra Insp. Ranjeet Singh Rao, under the close supervision of SDPO Katra Dr. Bhishm Dubey, JKPS and SP Katra Vipan Chandran, JKPS. SSP Reasi Sh.
