The state has installed over 2.72 lakh rooftop solar plants, generating nearly 4 million units of electricity every day. With rooftop solar capacity now exceeding 950 MW, Uttar Pradesh ranks among the top-performing states nationally, third in installations after Gujarat and Maharashtra, and second in total applications. Vendor participation has grown sharply from just 400 at the start of the scheme to nearly 4,000 today.
