Early Times Report REASI, Nov 16: District Police Reasi continues its firm action against violations endangering public safety and animal welfare. Cruel Transportation of Bull Foiled at Nomain Check Post On 15.11.2025 at about 1900 hours, a blue-coloured 3-wheeler without a registration number was intercepted by the Incharge Nomain Check Post during routine checking. The vehicle was found being driven by Atif Mohd S/O Mohd Sharif, R/O Dhammi Kotli Jhajjar and Ashiq Ali S/O Barkat Ali, R/O Dhror, Katra (Co-driver). Upon thorough checking, police found one black-coloured bull being transported from Katra towards the Jammu-Srinagar Highway, allegedly intended to be moved further towards Kashmir without the mandatory permission of the District Magistrate. The animal was found in a cruel condition, tied mercilessly with ropes, with no provision of food or water, clearly violating animal welfare norms. Taking instant action, FIR No. 315/2025 U/S 223 BNS & 11 PCA Act was registered at the concerned Police Station. Both accused were taken into custody and the animal was safely rescued. Reasi Police Acts on Viral Video of Rash Bus Driving; Driver Arrested In another incident, on 15.11.2025, Police Station Katra received reliable information and a viral video circulating on social media showing an unknown bus driver operating Bus No. JK14D-2817 in a rash and negligent manner, endangering the lives of passengers and pedestrians. |
