Pulwama, Nov 16: Amid scenes of grief and heartbreak, Inspector General of Police Security J&K, Sujit Kumar IPS visited the residence of Crime Branch cameraman Mubashir Mansoor in Hari Tral on Saturday, a day after the young officer lost his life in the Nowgam blast. Eyewitnesses said the atmosphere at the family home was filled with cries of mourning as relatives, neighbours and colleagues gathered to offer condolences over the tragic loss. Officials told KNC that Mubashir Mansoor, who served as a camera person with the J&K Crime Branch, sustained fatal injuries in the blast and could not be saved despite efforts. Later in the day, his body was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Hari Tral, where hundreds joined the funeral prayers to pay their final respects. Senior officers, colleagues from Crime Branch, and locals hailed him as a dedicated professional who consistently stood by his team in difficult operational assignments. Authorities expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and assured all possible support. |
