KUPWARA, Dec 1: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, today chaired a meeting of revenue officers to review key matters pertaining to the Revenue Department. The meeting was attended by ADC Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Khan; ADC Handwara, Javid Naseem Masoodi; ACR Kupwara, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad; SDM Lolab, Mudassir Ahmad; all Tehsildars of the district, and other concerned officers. At the outset, the DC reviewed the rehabilitation process for terror victims, directing Tehsildars to expedite verification of genuine cases to ensure timely benefits under SRO-43. He also assessed progress made on removal of encroachments on the properties of terror victims. While reviewing the preparation and revision of Market Value Guidelines/Rules 2011 for the Calendar Year 2026, the DC emphasized the need for strict adherence to established criteria for rate fixation. He instructed officers to carry out a comprehensive and structured review, including classification of areas for accurate and fair determination of stamp duty rates. The DC also took a detailed review of the status of online public grievances, stressing the need for time-bound disposal to ensure that citizens do not face unnecessary delays. Officers were directed to ensure public service delivery as mandated under PSGA and monitor performance of field functionaries. He also stressed on regular administrative inspections of field offices to improve service delivery. |
